Naphthalene plant and Forzals plant
In one control system live two plants, Naphthalene and Forzals.
The first engaged in the manufacture of napthalenic derivates and acrylic homopolymerics used as cement and concrete superfluidificants. The second is dedicated to the manufacture of adhesives for laminating, flexible packaging and printing.
Description of the automation system
This installation has been automated with a distributed control system SIEMENS PCS7 v6.1.
Supervision includes two operating stations (OS), each equipped with two screens, displying two areas of the plant different from each place of operation. With this configuration we can control the plant automatically with the subsequences CFS system, from where we boot each process and sub-process.
In the Forzals plant, at the level of operation, a touchpad with function keys equipped to be operational in Ex zone near the reactor has been installed, from which all dosages and controls of the reactor are operated.
In terms of maintenance, the necessary adjustments at PID control, website monitoring valves, motors and ultimately all controls and system settings with a password control have been made.
Standard controls for PCS7 v6.1 or otherwise made, both for control of the shirt as the control pressure / vacuum have been used.
For the control has been installed an AS of the type 416-3DP, 3 Siemens ET-200M that collect the non Ex signals from CCM and valve panels, and 3 ET-200isp which receive signals directly from Ex zone without the needed to install separating barriers.
In this case the engineering station (ES) is shared with one of the monitoring stations. From this ES we can manage at all levels and together the entire system of control and supervision.
AS programming (control) is performed by CFC (oriented objects programming) and SFC (sequences), the weighing goes directly to the control system using Siwarex cards integrated into the automation system bus itself.
Control cabinets have been made, equipped with the AS and central ET-200, electrovalve panels panels with their appropriate decentralized ET’s, the installation of the network, and connections to the field signals in the interconnection terminal blocks of cabinets or external panels.
